Robert T. Parow, of Malden, died at the Concord Healthcare Center on Jan. 17, 2012 at the age of 81. Bob was born & raised in Chelsea and a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1948. He went on to earn degrees from both Bentley College & Northeastern University. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1951 -1955. He worked as an Engineer for Polaroid, Raytheon and Sylvania for many years. Bob resided in Malden over 50 years and was a member of the Irish American Club in Malden. He was an avid walker and enjoyed physical fitness. Bob enjoyed golfing, spending time at the Malden Senior Center and loved animals. Most of all, he loved to spend his time with his children & grandchildren. Bob was the loving father of Deborah Stanley & her husband Peter of N. Reading, Robert Parow & his wife Sheila of Malden, Karen Bailey & her husband David of Groton, Michele Curley & her husband William of Wakefield, Brian Parow & his wife Mary Ann of Malden, Christine Sheehan & her husband Joseph and Maureen Fisher & her husband Kevin, all of Wilmington. Former husband of Mary Ellen (Barry) Parow. Cherished grandfather of Amy, Jennifer, Jessica, Christopher, Sean, Jamie, Michele-Lee, Danielle, Brian, Ashley, Jacqueline, Joey, Rachel, Robbie and Katelyn. Devoted brother of Kenneth Parow & his wife Theresa of Chelsea, George Parow & his late wife Barbara of FL, Edward Parow of East Boston and the late Walter Parow & his wife Helen of Andover. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Mon. Jan. 23rd at 9AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from 12-4PM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
